The mobile payment methods Apple Pay and Google Pay are offered in cooperation with our partner Verifone Payments. This integration enables you to accept these popular wallet options in your online shop. The total order volume is settled and paid out to your bank account on the next business day. Please note that in addition to your payever account, you also need a valid contract with Verifone. For more information, please reach out to 📧 support@payever.de.
Additional Services
In addition to online payments, you can also bundle your conditions with a physical card terminal of your choice for your point of sale. Most modern terminals support touchscreens and allow you to generate a QR code to connect to our payment links or other POS payment options. For more information, feel free to contact our support or Verifone support.
Furthermore, Verifone’s acquiring contract also includes Verifone Credit and Debit Card payments. You can find out how to set those up [here].
Who can use it?
Any digital wallet with a valid card can be used for these payment methods. Please note that the availability of Apple Pay and Google Pay depends on the mobile device used. While Apple Pay is limited to Apple devices, Google Pay is supported by a wide range of Android manufacturers beyond Google itself.
Security & Compliance
All transactions are processed through Verifone’s PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure. No card data is stored in your shop or within payever, ensuring maximum security and compliance with international standards.
How to install Verifone Wallets (Apple Pay and Google Pay)
Step 1: Create a free Payever Business Account
First, set up your free Payever Business Account according to your specific needs. We recommend that you complete the full setup of your shop before proceeding to the next step. You can find detailed onboarding instructions here, or register directly using this link.
Step 2: Install Verifone Wallets
First, open the Connect app by clicking the “Connect” button in your dashboard.
Search for Apple Pay and/or Google Pay in the list of available payment options, either by scrolling or using the search bar. Click Install.
Then, select the Verifone variant and click Install again.
Step 3: Configure Verifone Wallets
Once the wallet method is installed and activated, click “Open” to configure the payment settings.
Enter your personal 3DS ID (ThreeDS ID) and your Contract ID, both provided by Verifone.
After you have successfully established a connection, you can determine whether the customer should be forwarded directly to the store or not. If this is activated, your customer will be redirected to your order confirmation/ thank you page after completing the payment. All you have to do is check the box and click Save and one.
You can also choose when and how the capture should be made:
- Select Auto-Capture on fulfilment (recommended) if you want the payment to be activated when you are notified that the goods have been dispatched. It then initially has the status ACCEPTED and only changes to PAID when the dispatch notification is sent to payever. You can report the dispatch of goods directly in the payever account (transaction details -> “Goods dispatched”) or trigger it automatically via your store system (varies depending on the store system, e.g. automatically in Shopware 5 when the status changes to “Fully delivered”).
- Select Auto-Capture on authorization if the payment is to be automatically activated directly on approval. It will then immediately receive the PAID status and your customer will also receive the payment request immediately. Please note that you may only use this option if the following conditions are met:
- You generally ship your orders very promptly (within approx. three working days of receiving the order).
- You only sell the stock in your online store that you actually have in stock - i.e. you do not use drop shipping or order picking (order/purchase order to manufacturer/wholesaler only after customer order) and you do not make individual products to order.
- Select manual capture if payment is to be made exclusively by manual capture in the payever platform. We do not usually recommend this setting as it would mean too much manual effort for most merchants.
If you now click on Return, you will see that the connection is displayed as default. If you want to change your settings again later, you can do this by clicking on View next to Default.
