In payever Products you can create as many variants of your product as you want. To do this, you can set several differentiation criteria and assign values to them, for example color (red, green, yellow) and size (S, M, L).
The product only appears once on your website, however, if the customer clicks on it he would see two dropdowns for "Color" and "Size" on the corresponding product page, from which he then selects the desired variant.
For each of the variants (e.g. red S, red M, red L, green S, green M, green L, yellow S, yellow M, yellow L) you can have your own product picture and your own stock code, as well as a different price and a different description text if you would like.
The following are two examples of how you can correctly create variants in payever.
Example 1: Only one differentiation criterion (e.g. color)
First click Add Product and add the necessary product information of the "base" product. Now select in the tab Variants and click on Add Variant.
Now specify in the Option Name field what this product variant should be called (how the respective dropdown on the product page should be labeled), e.g. color.
Now enter the color of this variant under Option Value (which should appear as a selection in the dropdown), e.g. black. Complete the remaining fields for this variant and click Save (in the top right corner).
Now click on Add Variant again and repeat the process until you have added all color variants. Please make sure to always write Option name exactly the same, so that the system recognizes this as one variant to the same "base" product and thereby includes it in the same dropdown.
When you're done, it should look something like this:
Now click Save again (in the top right corner) and you're done!
Example 2: Several differentiation criteria (e.g. color and storage capacity)
Let's assume that you have this product in two colors (black & green) and two storage options (64 GB and 128 GB). In this case they have 2x2 = 4 variants, namely black 64 GB, black 128 GB, green 64 GB and green 128 GB.
So you create 4 different variants in the product app, unlike in example 1 you add a second product criterion (storage capacity) by clicking on Add option. Your 4 options now look like this:
In the product editor for the "base" product it looks like this:
For the sake of simplicity, we have chosen a very short example with only 2 differentiation criteria and 2 values per criterion, but payever does not set any upper limit to the number of product variants in the option value - so you could also use 10 criteria (= 10 dropdowns on the product page) with 20 options each in the dropdown, i.e. 10x20 = 200 variants. There are no limits to your product variety!
